the obvious question 08 or 09 Road King
Having gone to the dark side and bought my first Harley I am completing my dark transition by selling the second bike in my garage to help fund a Road King. Trouble is do I look for a deal on an 08 or go for a 09. Oh bugger and I was having trouble just picking a colour. Gentlemen I need your thoughts.

Unless there's something specific about the '09 you want, save some money and find a deal on an '08.
Although, you will have to deal with the mental anguish of your new bike already being a year old. \\;
I bought my '05 a couple of weeks before the '06s came out. That year they changed to the HK stereo, I could have kicked myself, but I've solved that problem now with the Hogtunes amp &\\; speakers. \\;

The '09 is 35 pounds heavier, but the '09 \\;is likely a better handler. Do I care \\;when my \\;'08 handles perfectly well for the type of bike it is? No. Does this bike need to be slower or heavier than it is? No.
 \\;
The '09 has a 17' front and 180 rear, I prefer the classic skinny 16' \\;front and rear on my '08 - it's a RKC after all, though maybe I'll change my mind when I see an '09 in the flesh. \\;
 \\;
In short, IMO, get an '08, esp. if \\;you can save $$.

I'd say go '09. \\; If that new frame is all it's cracked up to be, handling alone will make the difference. \\; Bigger rear tire, and 17 on front, all good. \\; If you don't ride hard in the twisties, and handling isn't an issue, I'd say go '08. JMHO.
