As you all know TV tuners will be obsolite when digital kicks in.. \\; as will RADIO TRANSMISSION.. it's going to HD Radio.. Will all of the Harmon Kardon Radios quit working as well? Or will there be an Upgrad to change to HD? Just a thought...
No worries, the answer from HowStuffWorks.com is ... HD Radio won't replace traditional radio broadcasting it will be offered alongside it. So if you have no interest in what HD Radio has to offer (increase in sound quality and programming alternatives), you don't have to worry that someday your trusty stereo receiver (your HK from the real HD) will stop picking up radio stations. However, the purchase of a receiver that can accept and interpret an HD Radio signal is necessary if you want to enjoy the extra features allowed by the new technology.
