My new 08 UC came with about 5 psi in the rear. I fired up the compressor and dialed down the pressure to 30 and put 20-25 psi in my rear for my mostly solo riding. I noticed on my first ride with Mrs O'Lady that we were bottoming out. My gauge lets a couple psi out when I measure which is why I don't know the exact psi.

I set the pressure&nbsp\\;this spring &amp\\;&nbsp\\;checked it once or twice since but no need for adjustment.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Is it necessary - for most - to&nbsp\\;add air&nbsp\\;frequently?

ORIGINAL: shekmark

&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; do you have to remove the saddle bag to pump?
With hard bags no.&nbsp\\; Leather bags yes because they open towards the valve.

I never understood why anything more than a&nbsp\\;bicycle pump is needed.&nbsp\\; I can't imagine using the pump more than twice a year.&nbsp\\; Am I missing something?
