There are allot of variables that impact.&nbsp\\; I have gotten as low as 40 (sidewind in Kansas doing 75 mph) but REGULARLY get 55 mpg in Colorado (5000 to 9000 feet elevation, mostly state highways at 65 mph).&nbsp\\; Your weight can be a factor as well.&nbsp\\; My&nbsp\\;ride&nbsp\\;has a/c, v&amp\\;h ovals and&nbsp\\;v&amp\\;h fuelpak btw.&nbsp\\;

I read the posts about people getting 45 to 55 MPG from a Ultra Classic?
I have a 06 Ultra Classic stock with K&amp\\;\\\\\\;N filter and SE slip-ons and HD map stage1, M880's with 140 on the rear, 10000 mile service with new plugs, Mobile 1 oils all-around. I'm 265 + 810(bike) = 1075lbs. Best mileage I have ever gotton was 41.6 mpg 1 time. I full-up with about 4.6 or 4.7 gallons (93 Oct) on aveage per tank and only get 36 to 38 mpg no more. I keep my hand off the thottle not big running light to light.
The only riding I have gotton in, in the last few months is from work and back going no more than 50 to 55 mph. Would someone please explain to me how you are getting these types of aveages 45 to 55 MPG.

Thanks
Biff

After 9k I get about 40 mpg average with Stage 1 but no other mods.&nbsp\\; Commuting I get a bit less...touring I can get a bit more.&nbsp\\; BTW 6th gear is useless unless you are doing 75 plus (keep your RPMs arou 2800 - 3200)

Hmmm 08 Ultra w/110 inch and I get 41 city and 46 hwy. But then again I grab the big hole at 45mph. usually around 1600rpm. Listen to the motor you can tell when it is going to lug.

Low 40's MPG is about the norm for the new bikes. If you get more than that, I suspect a lean condition and running very hot too.

I used to get about 42 MPG when it ran hotter than the gates of hell. Now that I have the PCIII, I only get about 35 MPG. But, the lower gas mileage is well worth it.
