Clay bars will remove any surface stuff that won't come off with a regular wash. Usually clay'ing is the first step in a good deep cleaning / washing / waxing routine.

Use the lubricant that comes with the bar, or you can use a couple drops of dawn in a spray bottle, then fill the rest with warm water. Wash your bike well after, with something like Dawn, rinse well and then dry. Then use a good wax if you want to it to really pop.

I've been buying my stuff for years from then. Also under 'Detailing Tips' you'll find a ton of great info on paint care and upkeep. If you want a showroom finish this is the place to start.

I use the Klasse products on my cars and they will last 3-4 months with a weekly wash.
