People just go crazy about oil changes. \\;\\\\\\; Any good full synthetic, run it for 15K, change filter and top off every 5K.

Now this is only my opinion. I believe the length of oil change has nothing to do with the type of oil your running. The length is determined by the area you ride in and how much contamination you pick up by your surroundings and type of engine (basically how hard your running it). I change mine every 2500 to 3000 miles or when the dip stick starts to turn color.
When I was on board ship we never changed the oil. We only cleaned it by centrifuging it. Then we only had to add what we lost in the clean up.

another factor - # of cold starts. \\; if run 500 miles/day = 10 cold starts per 5000 miles. \\; if run 100 miles day = 50 cold starts per 5000 miles. \\; each time a cold engine is started, a little gas makes it past the rings until everything gets up to temp and expands, etc. \\; just my 2cents - 5000 miles in 2 weeks, no problem. \\; 5000 miles in 2 months - change more often.
