Default Streetglide ABS Removal

My buddy is thinking about removing or deactivating the&nbsp\\;ABS&nbsp\\;on his 08 SG (his decision not mine, so please don't give me any grief) and going with standard brembo (non ABS) HD brake configuration.&nbsp\\; Has anybody done this and could I get some input, required parts etc?

Couldn't he just pull the ABS fuse?

Yes I have some advice for him. Tell him he is being an idiot for taking something off that could be a life saver down the road. Oh yea and I am sure he will say what a great braker he is etc. I don't care how good you are, but when the chit hits the fan, those brakes do lock up. I am a Poilce Motor Officer and we train thresh hold braking all the time, but we still have Motor Officers killed because of imporoper braking when the chit hits the fan. My good buddy was killed because of improper braking and locked up the rear wheel when we had the KZ 1000's. If he had ABS, he would still be here today. &nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Leave the ABS alone. That would be my 2 cents. &nbsp\\;\\\\\\;&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;

Tell him I'll swap him for my 07 with a 103" motor.

The ABS is one thing I would have waited for, had I any inkling of it coming down the pike.

when my wife got her 08, she wanted the abs
I told her,,it was up to her, but I wouldn't.
Boy was I wrong.
2 days ago almost went head to head with a pickup
he pulled out 50 ft in front of me ...I was going 45.
I don't know what I did, but my rear wheel was perpindicular my front.
Saved it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Went home and got her bike out,,,got it to 45 mph and locked them up
Stayed as straight as could be
I will have abs on my next one
