If your buddy wasn't so frigging stupid (and if this post is serious\\; I have my doubts about), he could have figured out for himself that all he has to do is remove the ABS fuse(s).

Maybe his next mod will be a single ski mount for the fork and a studded rear tire.&nbsp\\; C'mon - be a friend and slap his *** around...

Come on guys.&nbsp\\; He's "old school" and the ABS is giving him fits.&nbsp\\; I think it might&nbsp\\;not working correctly or is out of adjustment (if that can happen).&nbsp\\; Regardless, I don't know enough about it and just wanted some input.&nbsp\\; My opinion on this matter really doesn't matter, I'm just trying to help a friend&nbsp\\;out and&nbsp\\;wanted some information. &nbsp\\;Constructive input appreciated...Isn't that what this forum is for?&nbsp\\; Thanks for the&nbsp\\;help.

If the ABS is giving him fits... It seems he must be locking the brakes often.

I have a FXSTC w/o ABS and a new FLHTCU w/ABS and I have only felt the ABS engage once and that was when when I locked the brakes to see how the ABS felt.

Here is the deal.&nbsp\\; When I get on the rear brake, hard but not hard enough to lock up, (and I am down shifting at the same time) the brake pedal will jump with each shift&nbsp\\;as the ABS starts to kick in.&nbsp\\; When I get to first gear the brake goes away completely.

I’m not talking about a panic stop this is just a little harder than normal.&nbsp\\; And I’m not new to bikes nor am I a weekend rider.&nbsp\\; I’ve been doing this since 1964.&nbsp\\; I took delivery on my Street Glide on March 23 and now have over 14,000 miles on it.

ABS brakes are a MVSS item, legally he can't alter them in anyway. If he does alter them and gets into an accident he'll get a free pass to a jail. IF they are altered and the bike is inspected he'll get that same free pass.
