Default Foggy Speedo and Tach...Normal ?

Noticed that when I went for a ride yesterday that speedo and tach were foggy inside glass. Bike was inside all nite. It lasted for about an hour or two then cleared up. Typical Jersey hot humid weather. Is this normal?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Thanks

It seems pretty normal on my FLHTP.&nbsp\\; If there werent a 2 week wait at the dealer to have a bike serviced, I would take it in to have it fixed under warranty.

My 2008 Ultra does the same thing. But only the fuel gauge foggs up, and only in wet condidtions or damp, humidy air. Guess the next time i take her in i will get it fixed. Glad to hear it is somewhat common. Ride safe.

Seems pretty normal to me. Everybody I know complains about it. After I wash my bike, the gas gauge fogs so bad you can't see the needle. When the sun hits my speedo, it gets hazy until the moisture evaporates. Dealer says it's "normal". I'll wait until it dies and then add the recessed guage, gas cap and a speedo/tach combo. Until then, it's not that big a deal.

I've noticed this on my 07 SG but figured it is because I put it inside my house through the garage and the fluctuation in rapid temp changes fogs everything due to within the air conditioning.&nbsp\\; Mysterious this has never happened to my FXSTSB over the past ten years.&nbsp\\;

The gauges are open to the atmosphere and thay are going to fog up. The only way they wouldnt fog up is if they were sealed type. Which they are not. I wonder if Bimmers and Jap bikes are a better quality guage
