What type of Satellite sytem do you have?&nbsp\\; The reason for asking is I installed my old XM Radio receiver on my RKC hard wire in and antenna.&nbsp\\; Now I just need to decide either go with external handle mounted speakers or earplug.

Earplug would not be the recommended way to go here.

You know, I was just about to post the same type of question.&nbsp\\; My 08 SG sterio is supposedly Sattellite Ready...I'm a Sirius subscriber (gotta love Howard Stern and the "boys") and would love to be able to hook it up, just don't want that damn handlebar attached reciever!

Harley has a contract with XM radio... not&nbsp\\; Sirius
&nbsp\\;you have to buy the add on module, harness and antenna.. 'bout $500
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;I added the Sirius unit with the FM modulator.. mounted the antenna with double sided outdoor tape onto the inner fairing.
&nbsp\\;
Later this year, the 2 services are due to merge.. supposidly you'll be able to pick and choose what channels you want.. check their respective web sites for more info on that.

The safety issue I thought of with the ear plugs.&nbsp\\; since my RkC does not have the fairing to install an actual head unit going with handle mounted waterproof speakers seems to be the best option I have.&nbsp\\; I found several that comes with mini amp about 200amp that can be hidden under the seat.
&nbsp\\;
I mounted my first general XM unit on the front brake cylinder with a "T" braket I made and mounted the antenna on top of the handle bar cover the RKC has.&nbsp\\; The rest of the 100 plus foot of wire the antenna came with I coiled up and zip tie inside the head light housing.&nbsp\\; Pretty clean install now I need to complete it with a set of speakers.&nbsp\\; sorry no picture yet.&nbsp\\; will follow up with them.
