Default Not flat footed on ground. What to do?

2008 Road King std. I can not set on level ground and set flat footed.&nbsp\\; Nearly dumped it today and I dont want my wife to ride with me until I get this corrected.&nbsp\\; What are my options? Modified seat from mean city cycles(wouldnt hurt to have a more comfortable seat), lowering blocks, replacement shocks( would look pretty cool lowered imo)&nbsp\\; Money is not an issue but I want the best bang for the buck and I do not want to sacrifice ride quality.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks for the help, cue

Try a good pair of thick soled boots like Chippewa Logger style for starters

I would probably find a lower sitting seat. Someone on this forum can surely tell you a good seat choice, or you could check with your local dealer. I would have said lower the suspension but the ride may suffer a little.

How long have you had it? I am not always flat footed, but have gotten used to it and don't dump the bile. Dumping the bike is more a function of rider skill than being flat footed.

I have gotten my seat shaved from Mean City (highly recommended) and put the Street Glide shocks on my bike. That got me flat footed when I wear certain shoes. But, I usually wear tennis shoes and have no problem.

Maybe you just need more time with the bike?

maybe I'm mistaken, but the Road King should accept the lowering kit that is used on the street glide.&nbsp\\; That and a seat.&nbsp\\; Mustang's seat is a little narrower which helps getting the feet on the ground.&nbsp\\;

I'm a 29" inseam and placed 11" lowering shocks (HD) on the rear. It is a balancing technique solo and 2up. Lots of&nbsp\\; practice.

The main issue many have is the width of the seat forward of the seat pocket. When you put your feet down, your legs are splayed out. Companies such as Mean City can reshape your seat in such a way&nbsp\\;that would allow your legs to dangle in a more natural angle. Also, suspension lowering kits are options as well.

See if your local dealer will let you try a Reach seat. I have one on the RK I just bought, but it puts me too far forward and a bit low. Bought the King from a guy who was about 5'6" but with a really short inseam. I'm selling the Reach seat, but it won't fit your 08. They've been going on ebay for $150 - 200 bucks. $299.95 new at the dealer.
