Default Windshield/Fairing Pucker

I bought an inexpensive windshield, came flat and you have to curve it to install.&nbsp\\; Well, the three screws on the fairing snug right up, but its leaving a pucker or small gap between the two outer screws and the middle screw on my '08 FLHT.&nbsp\\; I'm concerned water may leak into the fairing.&nbsp\\; Is this just a consequence of this type windshield or can I do something to fix it?
&nbsp\\;
Thanks for any and all replies,
-Bill-

The cheaper windshield may be thinner. I put some weather stripping on mine

Is there any room for movement in the W/S holes? If so, you could try tightening the center screw first and then working the curve into the shield as you tighten the outside ones. Otherwise, I'd go with the weather strip idea.

The area under the outer fairing is completely exposed to the elements. Water leaks down between the windshield and fairings on OEM units all the time. The gap is probably more a cosmetic problem than anything else.

Yeah, I bought one of those cheapies from ebay and it did the same thing.&nbsp\\; I have entertained using a heat gun to mold it a bit more but I just put the stock one back on for now.&nbsp\\;

Take their advice and go with a clearview that is premolded.

I bought a couple of the cheap flat windshields but only to figure out what height I wanted and then I bought a quality windshield.
