Little help please from my bagger experts, Is this a good deal?
OK guys, I'm usually in the softail forum, and I love my night train. \\;\\\\\\; Not getting rid of it either, \\;\\\\\\; BUT, I've been looking at \\;\\\\\\;dressers, since I'm commuting everyday to work, rain or shine. \\;\\\\\\; Found a '99 Electra Glide Classic. \\;\\\\\\; Lets see, 35,000 miles, new tires,fish tail pipes, custom seat, driver back rest, stage 1, and in great shape (per ad). \\;\\\\\\; Anywho, he is asking $8000 and its a local bike. \\;\\\\\\; Sound like a deal? \\;\\\\\\; Also, is this the first year with the 88"? \\;\\\\\\; Thanks guys, all info is very much appreciated.

Hogmonger, it does sound like a pretty good price to me, provided it's in as good a condition as claimed. \\; the TC88 is a good engine, although the camchain tensioners are a curable weakness. \\; I never had any trouble with my '03 through 32,000 miles. \\; Commuting, I think you would love the bagger. \\; Might even make your Nighttrain jealous.

Right on advise from all above. \\; That's a fair price for a '99, especially if you can get it for $7500. \\; Every bike I've bought with $100 bills. \\; Something about flashing them in front of the guys nose (even dealers, as I bought my RK new the same way) that makes em hungry. \\; Try it. \\; \\;
