Default Little help please from my bagger experts, Is this a good deal?

OK guys, I'm usually in the softail forum, and I love my night train.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Not getting rid of it either,&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; BUT, I've been looking at&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;dressers, since I'm commuting everyday to work, rain or shine.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Found a '99 Electra Glide Classic.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Lets see, 35,000 miles, new tires,fish tail pipes, custom seat, driver back rest, stage 1, and in great shape (per ad).&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Anywho, he is asking $8000 and its a local bike.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Sound like a deal?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Also, is this the first year with the 88"?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Thanks guys, all info is very much appreciated.

Sounds good. Just remember you will always have to put money into any used

Hogmonger, it does sound like a pretty good price to me, provided it's in as good a condition as claimed.&nbsp\\; the TC88 is a good engine, although the camchain tensioners are a curable weakness.&nbsp\\; I never had any trouble with my '03 through 32,000 miles.&nbsp\\; Commuting, I think you would love the bagger.&nbsp\\; Might even make your Nighttrain jealous.

With that many miles on I am sure that the cam bearings and tentioners have been done but if not that is the only thing I can think of that would be wrong ...Sounds like a good price to me....

HOG&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; , invest in a&nbsp\\; pro to overlook the bike, for peace of mind, offer $500 less ( cash) quick sale, if bike checks out by PRO&lt\\; then ENJOY

Right on advise from all above.&nbsp\\; That's a fair price for a '99, especially if you can get it for $7500.&nbsp\\; Every bike I've bought with $100 bills.&nbsp\\; Something about flashing them in front of the guys nose (even dealers, as I bought my RK new the same way) that makes em hungry.&nbsp\\; Try it.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;
