Default Windshield screw will not stay tight

The left fairing screw holding the windshield will not stay tight. Seems like every day I am having to tighten it. Never had this problem with my 06 and it is only this one screw. What could be the problem??? And outside of blue loctite and the JB Weld comments that I am sure are coming, what can I do about it???

I use teflon washers on the screws, stay tight and do not mark paint.

I had the same problem and found that Harley makes a replacement threaded insert (part#16585-96) that you can replace the OEM insert with...it only costs a couple bucks and you dont have to fool with loctite or anything. I bought 3.

Is the insert pulling out of the inner fairing?

&nbsp\\;
Brass inserts sometimes lose their tightness, I'm not sure what's wrong with a little blue locktite.. but new insert will fix easily.

PULL OUT THE BRASS INSERT.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;GET 2 PART EPOXY&nbsp\\; AND&nbsp\\; MIX..
&nbsp\\;PUT ON OUTTER&nbsp\\; BRASS AND&nbsp\\; IN HOLE.
&nbsp\\;INSERT BRASS....WAIT&nbsp\\; TO DRY ..&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;NEVER&nbsp\\; LOOSE AGAIN..
&nbsp\\; DID&nbsp\\; MANY OF THESE...
&nbsp\\;
GOOD LUCK &nbsp\\;
