Default Chopped or King?

Okay, all you Ultra folks can &nbsp\\;at me.&nbsp\\; I'm going to add a hard pak and would like some pros and cons of those of you who have either one and wish you had the other.&nbsp\\; Also if you have a great idea where to buy one, please let me know. I have a 20% off coupon from my dealer, but don't know if it will apply to painted items. I'm going to mount it on a removeable 2up rack.&nbsp\\; Thanks.

King, wouldn't want any thing smaller. This is like asking , "what color bike should I buy". It's your bike, what's best or most appealling to you?

I think the chopped may look better, but I'm wondering what others have experienced when using it.&nbsp\\; Realizing&nbsp\\; no one can make the decision for me... It would be nice to see them on bikes side by side.

I agree the chopped looks better to me too, but at my age I go for what is most functional. For the price they cost I want as much room as possible. I have a king in vivid black that I just replaced with another king. If you're interested in used, let me know.

I have a detachable and wanted to get a chopped, as I thought the king looked too big and clunky.&nbsp\\; My wife convinced me to get the king, and after having it for a year, I definitely would get a king again.&nbsp\\; If you're going to use it, the king is much, much more practical.

Okay sounds like a King and although looks are important, storage is as well.&nbsp\\; Any thoughts on where to buy?&nbsp\\; My bike is factory two tone with stripes.&nbsp\\; painting locally did not seem a cost effective option when I was looking for bags and fairing.

Thanks, looks like the chopped is about the same size as the leather pak I have... I do like the sleeker look.

I like the look of the chopped TP. However I use a full face helmet and a jacket of some kind 95% of the time when I ride and the king provides the space I need to lockup my stuff when off the bike. I went with the king and permanently mounted it. Its a bagger after all. If I wanted looks I'd have bought a softail.
