I bought a used O6 RG last year and it already had the HD&nbsp\\;low profile tourings shocks as well as the front end lowering kit. When I ride by myself it is fine but 2up riding sucks even with the shocks pumped way up.
&nbsp\\;
The lowered suspension also caused another problem for me when pulling my Uni-Go trailer. The trailer now fishtails at speeds of 70mph+. Yes I have tried all the various loading techniques. The trailer never fishtailed when it was connected to my Ultra. I&nbsp\\;rode 2up, fully loaded bike and trailer&nbsp\\;and went well over 90 and it never fishtailed once. So the only other major difference is the lowered suspension. We figured the problem was being caused by the hitch now being lower than the axle and the people at Uni-Go agreed when I contacted them. Other people in the Delphi trailer towing forum agreed as well. Also the guy at Uni-Go offered to make me a piece that would attach to the hitch that would raise up the trailer tongue when hooked up...now he never said whether I would have to pay for this part but the offer showed excellent customer service.
&nbsp\\;
So for me the low shocks will come off this Winter and a set of Progressives will be installed in their place...even the front springs will be switched out as well. Look for the shocks on Ebay and Craigslist in January...LOL

One of the guys in the HOG chapter used the White Bro's 1" kit. He also installed a lower profile Metzler tire
then got a Roadglide seat (ebay maybe?). Btwn all those mods he lowered the overall seat height aprox
2.5". He rides double w/o any bottoming out. Plus he has more clearance with the diff size tire AND he says the bike is more stable.

Check out Bitchen Baggers on the web. They cut down stock shocks for $175.00 and $10.00 shipping. You retain the original shock angle so you can run 20 lbs and still have a great ride. They also will resize them if you're not&nbsp\\;happy with the first sizing at no extra cost. The angle brackets don't always work well on baggers.

So as I had posted earlier. You put a lowering kit on.
That creates a larger "angle" on your shocks.
Reducing the ability of your shocks (at stock air pressure).
Hence the need for "more air".
With shorter shocks only you loose 1" but you loose 1" of swingasrm travel "clearance" between tire and fender.
With shorter shocks and a lowering kit you loose 2 inches of clearance between tire and fender.
Bottoming out? Need more air = harsher ride.
You can lower your seat as was stated by having it modified.
But again do you loose cushion/cumfort?
&nbsp\\;
You could loose the lowering kit on the swing-arm.
Lower the front fork springs 1"
Lower you seat.
Thats a bout all I can think of.

Next best suggestion\\;
Buy a Softail. They already have the harder ride and lower seat height.
And clearance problems. I speak from experience here.

Actually, in all fairness here. Since I have put the stock
suspension back on, got a Mustang seat (300 mi last Saturday - can't say enough
good things about that seat !!)&nbsp\\;I have to admit, the ol' Heritage is pretty comfortable.

What I have heard aroung here is Bitchen Baggers does have a nice set up and they are knowledgeble on what they are doing, I have spoken to the guy but have not yet made my way over to the shop, they have 3 lengths and have set it up with the air still working, I spoke with the owner give him a shout and check out the web site, this way you do not change the shock angle
