Default Progressive 416 series vs 440 series which are better?

I want to get rid of my stock shocks and put on some progressive shocks for the front and rear with a 1 inch lower than the stock shocks. I heard that you will get a better ride with the progressive shocks. Has anybody have any of these two shocks on there bikes, and can you tell me how you like them

I put 440 heavy duty shocks on the rear of my dyna last week -&nbsp\\; the difference is amazing!&nbsp\\; Now I'll just have to think about doing the same on the front.&nbsp\\;

I've got heavy duty 440 Progressives on my Triumph Rocket 111 where they make a huge difference to the really crappy ride of standard.

I have always found the stock shocks on Harley's quite good.

416s your still going with Air Shocks. The Progressive are better then the Factory HDs but with the valving of the 440s will improve your overall ride

I don't know about 416's but I can tell you I have 412's on mine and there is a great improvement in the ride and handling....

I agree.&nbsp\\; I have 412hd's on my Electra Glide Standard and they are GREAT all 'round shocks.&nbsp\\; My wife and I ride often and have no problems with bottoming.&nbsp\\; NICE RIDE.

I've had Progressive 440's in the rear with their springs up front for at least the last 4 years and they're definitely better than stock. I recently made the switch to Works Street Trackers shocks and fork springs and IMHO they're a clear cut above the Progressives.
