how do you propose to get a spring compressor in there to remove / install the keepers if there is one available that fits I would like to buy it......cause I have always had to pull the heads .
Soon to be I would live with it if the bike runs great...at least until the winter its ridin time now.
Have you checked compression?
make sure you ground the plug wires and the intake is wide open
good luck

You said above that you recently changed to a Arlen Ness Big Sucker air cleaner.&nbsp\\; Those air cleaners, with their built in head breathers can blow a lot of oil into the air cleaner.&nbsp\\; My father in law got tired of it spitting oil out the air filter onto his bike and leg and switched it out for a Kuryakyn high five that directed the head breather mist into a spacer ring between the carb and air cleaner instead.&nbsp\\; I'd check your air filter with the new big sucker and see if it looks saturated with oil.&nbsp\\; It may not have started dripping out yet since they take some time to fill up the filter element first.

Still an improvement over the chain oiler days when we took a couple of quarts of oil in the saddlebags. A quart every 500 miles was usual.
+1 on that! Thank God, no more chains!

Yeah, I had an '05 with the same problem, though not as much as yours.&nbsp\\; My dealer needed to see it before he contacted the factory.&nbsp\\; He filled it to normal, then told me to drive it for 1000 miles.&nbsp\\; I did, he checked it, level was low.&nbsp\\; He took it in and replaced the seals with new style.&nbsp\\; I now have 22,000 miles with no oil consumption problems.&nbsp\\; Just work with the dealer.&nbsp\\; Be nice to them and go along with their requests.

will check my filter as well...but no issue so far with oil blowing or dripping on my leg!
&nbsp\\;
as suggested....I do not plan on doing alot until riding season is over other than monitoring....bike is showing no performance issues!
&nbsp\\;
I will call my dealer, but I bought my bike used. Not sure they will do anything but tell me to bring it in and tell me how much it will COST to fix. I have no warrenty to fall back on.

&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&n bsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; My 07 Classic does not use enough to measure over 2500 mile intervals when I change it.

They make a spring compresser that looks like a flat plate with a u shaped cutout and places for 2 bolts. My riding bud has one, unfortunately I don't know the brand, but I'll ask and post it when I find out. It's a tight fit, but it works.
