I've tried the stock seat, Mustang and the HD Tallboy, on different bikes. I now have a Corbin, and love it. Like SoCal Pappy says, no seat is right for everyone. I hated the Mustang, and most people think they're great. But I am big and tall, and probably had different pressure places than most. As you've already noticed, you can't tell how a seat will feel after an&nbsp\\;8 hour ride by just sitting on it a few minutes.

Worst case scenario is that you try one and don't like it, and end up selling it for a bit of a loss. Not the end of the world.

 

I have a Mustang 2 part seat and its fine.

 

mustangn 4 me..................can sit on her for 8 hours and not have a problem

 

road zeppellin here, stock seat sucked for me, but I've had my tailbone broken about 4 years ago on a sled and every year I aggitate it all winter. So I needed a air seat to ride. But it puts you about 2" higher, which I don't really like and forward. But I've only got about 1,000 miles on this seat, maybe the position will feel better with time, but my **** don't hurt.

 

For every A$$ there is a seat. For this a$$ its a HD Comfort Stitch on an 05 RKCustom. More room for the passenger butt and the seat moves me a tad closer to the controls which is good with my stumpy legs. More lower back support and I do believe it actually lowers the rider. HUGE difference over that sorry a$$ed excuse for a seat that comes stock on the bike.

 

Sundowner for me, would like a Corbin solo, has Mustang, sat to high for me.

 

Mine's a Corbin solo.&nbsp\\; It feels firm and supportive when I run for 6-8 hours +.&nbsp\\;

 

I'm on my seventh Corbin.&nbsp\\; Their quality is great.&nbsp\\; Customer service has declined significantly lately, but I'd still go with Corbin.&nbsp\\; Dual Tourer on my Road King for when the wife rides, Stinger for short juants and sleek look, and Solo for one up.&nbsp\\; Like said earlier no right seat for everyone, but you can get some screamin' deals on seats, slightly used, from folks that don't like something you might love.&nbsp\\; Check fleabay, and Craig'slist.
