Default Dealer wrecked my Bike!

Hello,
My name is Rich and as you can see this is my first post. I would like to get your advice. Here is the situation
I own a 2007 FLHT with 9700 miles. Took the bike to the dealership for a minor problem (bike occasionally stalled) when the Tech took it out for a test run he wrecked my bike. I went in today and surveyed the damage and it is very extensive. My question to you…
&nbsp\\;
What would you expect from the dealership?

I would expect them to make it right. What are you looking for?

They have to fix it, they should have insurance. If you have to use your insurance, get them to pay for your deductible..
They might want to negotiate to get you a similar init but more than likely some ones insurance has to pay.

Two Things:
&nbsp\\;
Call YOUR Insurance Company And Let Them Know What's Going On.
&nbsp\\;
Call A GOOD Attorney for consultation.

As a dealership I assume they have insurance! Good luck!

new bike. it wasnt wrecked when you took it in and I would not accept&nbsp\\; a repaired bike.&nbsp\\; new bike period.&nbsp\\; I would be negotiable on a 07 with similar miles, but it would be my call if I wanted it or not.

Damn,
I'm upset and it isn't even my bike.&nbsp\\; Depending on the extent of the damage, 'fixing' may be very difficult, especially if the frame has been compromised.
My assumption is that the dealer already indicated what they were going to do prior to your post......my question is how will they decide whether to consider it cosmetic damage or a total loss?

Exactly what I was thinking…NEW BIKE. They want to order up all the parts /paint and take their time to “Do it right” I say bull sh*t. You wrecked it you buy it! Then you can take all the time you want to fix it.
Personally, I think they should offer a new bike, and soon.
