Never mind. You already did what worked for me!

Yaa. I did. When I hit the forum people told me to make sure the player is turned to full volume and my sansa had another setting that increased the volume even more. I can't remember what it's called and I don't have the player with me today. But it was under settings. I turned that on and ran the volume control to full and Walah!

If you should find that your mp3 files are recorded at too low of a level, this free program will increase the volume and make them play louder. \\; http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net

Yes that is all you need to do. \\; Works like a charm, found mine for the same price at Radio shack. \\; I have a little i-pod shuffle and with the booster, music is loud enough to hear at highway speed. \\; And with rechargable batteries will last a lifetime, I plug them both end the night before a ride, and the next day I am good for over 13 hours of music.

BOsteroo Works great, for what it is.
Also, have you tried another device in your Aux to troubleshoot your signal output some more ?
BTW my bosteroo laster about 5 yeras
