Turn Signal Trim Rings: Question?
Kit # 69740-01
Directions show only installing (1) lens screw. It appears that the lower lens screw along with the ring screw and nut is the only fasteners to use with one screw that use to go in the top on lens left uninstalled. Am I correct in doing this? Just want to make sure I see what I think I see.[sm=confused06.gif]

RE: Turn Signal Trim Rings: Question?
You need to at least loosen the lenses in order to place that thin rubber o-ring on. Also, you need enough space between the lense and the housing so that the trim can slip in. You really need to stretch the trim in order to get it completely over the lense. I used both lense screws.

RE: Turn Signal Trim Rings: Question?
leaving a hole in the upper lens will let water in. It is amazing that the directions are not as detailed as it should be to avoid uncertainty. Ok, I will use both screws from the lens. What I did was follow the instructions which had me remove the lens totally.
Now I will:
[ol][*]replace lens and loosen slightly to allow trim to be applied with rubber o-ring[*]tighten trim[/ol]Which isn't according to instructions but seems more logical. I am learning not to follow instructions which is a new learning process
