08 street glide, bought in 5/08 manuf date 3/08. No problems so far

 

Well mine died at about 5500 miles. Fortunately I was only 70 miles away at a friend's house. I've been waiting since Sunday. Parts are supposedly being shipped. I bought my '08 Ultra last September. Hopefully there won't be anymore cheap-assed parts they foisted on us to save a few bucks. It could have been much worse, but I am pissed at H-D. The dealer has been fine, its the damn bean counters or whichever moron decided to use crap in a design

 

Built July 07 with 7000 miles on it.&nbsp\\; Only problem is that the cruise control crapped out

 

Purchased my 08 Ultra in early August 07...3,500 miles and no problem so far.

 

Where in the VIN number is the month of manufacture?&nbsp\\; I found the year, it's pretty simple to see that.... looking in the users guide, it plainly points you to the year.&nbsp\\; I just don't see which number represents the month?

 

'08 EGC, 07/07 build, 7600 miles, no problems yet. I hope that holds as I have a 3000 mile ride coming up.

 

Mine failed at 4200 miles, luckily on a two lane road that was not too busy at that hour.&nbsp\\; HD part #62229-08A ,Filter Shell was replaced, along with&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;part #61402-08A, gasket, top plate.

It's on a sticker above the vin number on left side of the goose neck. You have to lift the wire bundle up to see it.

No problem with mine yet, am concerned about it though because&nbsp\\;I took out the compensator and have a wee bit more vibrations as well as a lot of in town rides.&nbsp\\; Made sure that we have 4 on order at our shop just in case and might just grab one and change the biotch out before I have a problem.
