Not only does the bra protect rock chips and road debris scratches...it also hides the ones you already have!! I am a perfectionist and my fairing has chips and nicks that bug the crap outta me. I was going to have it painted but I can't decide whatI want. My solution, I am buyinga bra to hide the chips!!

If you worry about it a lot why not try some of the 3M clear plastic that you can buy to cover motorcycle parts?

Sorry but don't have the link but I am sure you can find something similar.

Also chips have only one meaning....new paint job in a couple of years - great excuse!

I've had mine on for at least a year. I've wash the bike many times with it on and when I do take it off for waxing, changing the headlight or what ever, absolutly NO rubbing, scratching or discoloring. The fairing bra fits extreamly tight and doesn't flap one bit. If anything, the wind holds it flat against the fairing. The saddlebag bra's are also a plus when the kids are riding with me too as the seem to be magnets to their feet.

That being said, they do look much better on vivid black than any other color. I spray them with pledge and they shine like the sun.

I love em and have no problem recommending them.

With the 3-M film covers....how hard are they to put on, and once on, do they stay on forever, or do you take them off from time to time for cleaning and waxing? Also, if there is a web link to the 3M covers I would appreciate it. Thanks.
The best way to describe the 3-M is to compare it to window tent except it is clear but it goes on the same way. I had a pro to do mine , go to www.xpel.com put in your zip code to find a local installer , I would highly recommend getting a pro to do it!

The 3M covers are pretty easy and straightforward as long as your aren't in a hurry. The saddlebags are a 15-minute job as is the gas tank, fenders, side covers, saddlebag sides etc.

The fairing comes in 3 pieces. The upper and two lower sides. The upper is pretty basic and straightforward, the lower sides (because of the curvature) takes a little longer and an adjustment with the application solution. Total install time for most anyone would be about and hour for a perfect job.

I recommend that one do thier saddlebag tops first to get a feel for the material. After that, the rest should be a piece of cake. The kits come with installation too and detailed instructions and tech support.

The link would be www.pro-finish.com

I never liked bras on cars, let alone bikes.

Looking to do the 3M film on the new SG.

For thse who have it, have you noticed any down sides? ie discoloration, dulling, etc?

Web sites say it its great, but they want to sell it.

Just wondering.

Thanks,
Arrthur
