I'm putting one on my RG. I already have the saddlebag covers. I will also put one on my King tour pak. Even though it says it is not compatible with the rack. I'm going to punch holes in it for mounting the rack on top the the tour pack bra, cover, whatever ya call it. I like the look on my vivid black RG and it does offer protection. I pack a lot of camera gear and I'm always laying stuff out across the seats, saddlebags etc. Just my opinion. Lots of good info here. Take it all in and then blaze your own trail.

I had one on my bike and I was glad I did when a ride we were on in the Gold Country found us riding through an area where it had recently showed. Twofeet on the road sides and sand/gravel everywhere. I did take it off and like the look better without but will put it back on for long rides in questionableconditions. I have had no issues with rubbing.

I tried the bra, it really does not look that good but protects well, but is really a big pain to put on and take off, I went with the 3m clear sheet, best of both worlds.

Clear bra if you need the support. At least you can see through it. When I tell people I have one they have to look real close to see it.

this is my second bike with a bra and no issues what so ever. Just wax the fairing really good before installing.

Everybody else must live in the desert . The way they talk about all the abrasion and discoloration of paint.

I never understood why anyone would want to cover up a nice paint job. You bought the bike for the look so why hide it. Sure you'll get chips etc. That's life ridin. Its the difference between a rider or someone who is more prone to trailer a bike to keep it clean. Just my opinion and the last sentence is just a generalization. Not directed at you.

I like the look of the topless. I just wish we could get women to run around topless too!!
