08 RKC new bars won't stop my lower back pain
\\; I have been having problems with lower back pain after only 2 hours.
I was going to order EZ reach or extended bars. Good thing I did not.
I would have ended up paying $300 to $600 and still have a problem.
\\; After finding out how to adjust my bars. I moved them all over. The problem
was not leaning forward. The problem is there is not enough seat support
for my lower back. I tend to hunch over curving my spine, and that is the problem.
\\; \\; I just got my 1980 back together. As soon as I sat on it I knew that was the problem.
My 28 year old bike is a comfortable as possible. \\; It really supports the lower back.
\\; \\; I am looking into driver backrests and better seats now. I just thought I would
post this, to help others about to make the same mistake.

I feel ya on this one.
I had www.meancitycycles.com redo my seat so it would fit me and had him add the 10 lb. memory foam. I am also using a backrest when my wife is not with me. The seat helped a lot.
This is where the back rest will help. The seat when redone to fit you may take care of the problem. I can ride 800 miles in a day now as where before a 300 mile day would have my back hurting enough that I questioned myself as if I wanted to ride the next day.
Allen cut the seat down 2 inches and moved me forward 1.5 inches and cut the sides of the seat. I am a short guy. He can do anything you want him to do. It saved me a lot of $$$
