My friends call my 06 RKC a fat man bike, I am 33 6'2" 215lbs
I think that they are just jealous because I can ride for more that 200
miles a day and still feel great.
My Dad and Brother have Ultras. I rode my Night Train with them last summer for several hundred miles. Even though I rode a HD, I still felt out of place. I wanted what they had, wind protection, storage, radio and comfort. I'm getting my Street Glide next month.
Got my first Harley, a '67 FLH when I was 22, had a bunch since then and have an '05 Road Glide now..........geezerglide my butt, you just TRY to keep up!
I picked up my Ultra at 39. I had told friends when I got my fatboy, I wouldn't have a geezerglide til at least 50. Less than 2 years later after riding it. I am the youngest 50 year old around. I also ride with a guy who is 23 on his SG. He got smart & went from a 883 to a SG. Some of the younger generation does have their stuff together.
Never really looked at the bikes as this one is younger, this one older… I knew what kind of riding I was going to be doing, 2 up long trips but also day rides long and short…. Once a saw the RK custom I new it was the bike for me. Now it’s been a year and wouldn’t have it any other way….
32 now, started out on a Sportster at 17. At 18 my Dad ruined me by tossing me the keys to his Dresser. Finally got my own last spring, don't want anything else. Miles are addictive!
You're as young as you feel! I feel old when I get off a Sportster after a long ride. Can't get to the asperin fast enough. I can cruise on my Streetglide all day and go out dancing at night.
