Hey Gtsdesigns, what type of saw/ bit u using to do the cutouts on the bags for the 6x9s. I got an extra set of bags and want to try to do the cut outs myself. Lookin for some tips on cutting. BTW sick sound system
i use a unibit, but you can use any drill bit that will drill through plastic (or fiberglas depending on the material of you bags)...any standard bit will work, just go slow and clean the material off as you go along, so you dont scratch your bags (even though it is on the inside)...
make sure you make a template and get your pattern down first, then scribe the pattern to the bag... much cleaner this way, even though you wont see this part of the bag too often, you still want it to be functional, yet look clean...
another update on the roadglide from the other page, while on the pict (quality of picts do not do them justice and as i stated in the other thread, the speaker grill can actually flush more into the pocket, but the owner wanted them out a little, i made these like mine to flush (or countersink) the speakers and grills in, i have to say though, these came out as planned)...
good question, after helping out a little with the project, I had started working more and had little time... havent talked to him in a while... been working with the blue glide a few posts up....
not all show either, built motor, he rode all the way to AZ beginning of the month... bike is smooth...
