Default windshield question

Hey guys.&nbsp\\; I put a new windshield in the other day and one of thethree studs that the screws screw into cam out of the inner fairing. Was wondering if this had happened to anybody else and what you did to resecure the the stud to the inner fairing so that i can get the windshield nice and tight.&nbsp\\; Help please.&nbsp\\; thanks

Default RE: windshield question

you can get replacement studs from the dealer but when mine came out
&nbsp\\;
i just backed the screw out and stuck it back in it worked fine but i know someone
&nbsp\\;
who use pvc cement to secure them you just have to be careful not to over tighten them
&nbsp\\;
good luck and safe riding

Default RE: windshield question

&nbsp\\;Harley has a kit to replace the "barrel" nuts........
&nbsp\\;On mine the center one came out, I just coated iyt with JB Weld and stuck
it back in.
Waited a couple hours and re installed the fastener. So far...So good.
