&nbsp\\;OK, I know this might sound dumb but... I have been trying to plug in my cell phone and my sirus radio into my cig lighter and they will not work. Now I know the lighter works so there is power. The only thing I can figure is that it's wired backwards from a car lighter and that's why. Anyone know anything about it? Backwards, differant watts, what? 1999 ultra Classic

 

More likely, the lighter itself is dirty on the center (hot) post.&nbsp\\; Low-amperage units like yer tryin' ta use usually won't draw 'nuff power ta jump the garbage that's built up.&nbsp\\; Disconnect the positive lead, an' spray some contact cleaner in thar real good.&nbsp\\; Then use the tip of an eraser ta "burnish" the center contact.
