Default Soft lowers for the rain and cold?

Well I order those soft lowers for my EG and now I find two things. One they can only be used when it is above 50 degree's?? and the one's from Harley that have the shield on them wont line up with the hwy pegs, ( hole in the lowers that is ) so now I have to get something else. I wonder why the things wont accomidate the hwy pegs?

i have the faux-leather lowers from HD. the 'holes' line up for my hwy pegs and attach with buttons.
&nbsp\\;
true- when temps are over 50, they should not be used.
&nbsp\\;
they do a pretty good job keeping the cold/water off of your feet though.

Mine matched up with the pegs perfectly. Perhaps just dumb luck that my pegs were already in the right location. Maybe move your pegs a bit?

It's BELOW 50 degrees, although I have run mine up to about 70, she starts building heat after that.&nbsp\\; You might have to tweak the highway pegs a bit to match the hole.

Check these out

They are pretty sweet. True you arent supposed to use them above 50, but if it were raining I think you may be ok.

I put the wifes on in the spring, in the mountains, and in the late fall. I had to cut holes in them for her fog lamps, but the highway peg holes are ok. I still don't know why they would block much more, if any, air than lowers on a Ultra though.

.

If you think about it, anywhere HD put the slot for the pegs is going to cause someone problems, too many different ways to mount 'em.&nbsp\\; My wife and her sewing machine fixed mine for me.&nbsp\\; It's a simple job.
