Street Glide or Road King

Street Glide or Road King
I have a '99 Dyna Wide Glide. Lowered 2" all around, stiff Lepera seat, removeable backrest and windshield. Just not cutting it for long rides anymore. Oh, yah, 14" ape hangers.
 \\;
I want a bike I can ride around town and take on the long trips with the wife.
 \\;
Love the look of the Street Glide, but with 14" apes? puts hands above the bat wing. Apes are easy on the Road King.
 \\;
Question: Which is better for dual purpose town riding and longer rides changing the handlebars on the Road King, but leaving stock bars on the Street Glide? Either bike I would install a Corbin seat, loud exhaust, more power and rims.
 \\;
Thanks.

RE: Street Glide or Road King
I owned both bikes and I tell you the street glide is the better bike IMO. The street glide can be used as a around town bar hopper and a road bike for traveling. There are many options. What I like most about the street glide is the radio. I love speeding down the highway listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn. I believe the strret glide also gives you better protection against the elements. Go for the street glide you won't be disappointed.

RE: Street Glide or Road King
they both are \\;excellent riding bikes
i had the same problem and rode two different bike's on both models. the R/K will have a little more wind in your face \\;then the S/G. \\; you've got tunes as you ride down the road with the S/G. personally if your going to be in town more and you don't like a windshield go with the R/K if your like me and try to go some were ever other weekend with trips between 500 and 1000 miles round trip go with the S/G. hope this helps
 \\;
i would ride both models for about 50 miles each and then ride two different ones and then decided
