i see your not ready to give up the lowrider love so opt for the king because anything with a fairing looks like a oldcouples bike ,LOL unless you have deep pockets and upgrade the wheel`s and a custom paint.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
Oh Really .. Deep pockets aren't Needed ..Just gotta know how to Barter
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
I Rode a RKC Before My First Batwing,, No Comparison
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
deep pockets or not my main point was a fairing bike needs exactly what you have done to yours so it dont look like a old couples bike and from what i gather (he does not want the H****&nbsp\\;Goldwing look)LOL&nbsp\\;and even if we are getting older we can still have a Hot looking bike &amp\\; be comfortable,like yours, or better yet a ROAD KING. Let us know what you decided on!

PA SILVERBACK&nbsp\\;&amp\\; FEAR
&nbsp\\;
HOT HOT HOT BIKES!!!!

I wish I knew how to add pictures to my post. You would love my Wide Glide... Flamed paint, apes, rev-tech flame rims, V&amp\\;S exhaust, Lepera seat.
&nbsp\\;
All the posts here are helpful and not helpful. I will be doing around 100-200 mile rides mostly. Then the 4-6 hours rides once a month.
&nbsp\\;
I heard RK higher up more clearence, SG lower for better handling. Both look&nbsp\\;awesome. Don't care about radio. Like taking shield off, but hate it when I don't have it and need it on.

You won't regret either, but like I said if you want options, go with the KING!

Road King looks better with apes with and without&nbsp\\;windshield.
&nbsp\\;
For me, apes&nbsp\\;ruin the lines of a&nbsp\\;Street Glide.

Having the same dilema myself when I think about what I'll be riding next year? Think I'll be trading in my FXDC next year for a RKC (with street slammers of course!)&nbsp\\;Love the FXDC...just out-grown it. If I can keep it &amp\\; still get the RKC I will.

I own an 07 SG, and if I could do it again I wouldn't even hesitate.......to get a Road King standard (FLHR).&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; The first thing to add would be the removable batwing, and the first thing off the bike would be the floorboards.

Amazing how things change after the first 3000 miles.

PA Silver - You built my bike man....I was just searching the net for pics of the V&amp\\;H 2-into-2 for baggers.&nbsp\\; Very nice indeed.

I've been debating this myself for awhile.Trading my fats for either SG or RK.I'm kind of partial to apes so if i stay that route the RK is the only option.SG is a killer bike but not with apes.Maybe the wild1 10' 575 i believe,they dont go over the fairing.Another thing is once you go permanant fairing as in the SG thats it your stuck.With the RK you could always add the detatchable later.Man i just cant decide.You know what! maybe i just did....

RKC. you get cruise control, passing lamps, passenger floorboards and leather covered bags.
&nbsp\\;
you can easily remove the shield and swap the bags for a totally different look.
&nbsp\\;
a quick release fairing is a great option too.
&nbsp\\;
with the SG, the fairing is fixed and all of the other attributes mentioned are pretty expensive.
