Another possibility is the throttle cables are \\;not adjusted correctly after they put on your new grips. \\;

In case your interested, I put on the ISO grips last year. \\; I really like the look and how they feel.

yup,
throttle friction stop not installed correctly or already "set"
 \\;
i had to sand off so rough edges where the cables aligned and had to be careful about the cable housing.took an extra hr to get all the binding out

This morning I loosend the housing and slid the whole thing about 1/16 inch out. Fixed the problem. I think when the guy installed it he pushed everything all the way too far in and then tightened up the housing. The grip must have been putting to much pressure against that sensor that is in the end of the handlebar. T.
