RE: GREAT another wasted vacation day today
Retired after 27+ years on the job and got a Monday through Friday job. \\; I enjoy the weekends off but really used to enjoy the days off during the week occasionally. \\; You need to find someone else with a weekday off to ride with when possible. \\; Stay Safe!

10 years on and only get everyother weekend off, we work 12 hour shifts, this allows for much time off, but usually the days off are crappy and the days on are great riding weather. \\; I agree with the other comment that is why you have sick days... although its a little obvious when you come back tan or sun burnt. \\;

RE: GREAT another wasted vacation day today
Different line of work, but I've worked rotating 12's for the pasts 15 years and rotating 8's for 13 years before that. On the 8's I got 1 weekend off a month (if I had no OT). On the 12's I work 2 and off 2 (again, unless I have OT). I miss riding on weekends, but what I miss most are my three boys activities. They're all in high school, so there's always something going. Adapt ... swap shifts, vacation days, sick days, etc. \\;
