Hey HOZ,

What did you do about the antenna? Do they come pre-drilled?

Thanks,
Jon Golden

I have the HD chrome ones on my 2008 RKC - they look great and really bling up the back end. The saddlebags were a very tight fit at first, but seem to have settled down Ok now.
&nbsp\\;
have you noticed how these bikes always need more chrome?[8D]

I made my own out of 22 guage body metal, painted black to match the bike. I got some marker LED lights from a truck supply and wired them in for some extra rear lighting. I had to make a new antenna bracket, mounted it off the rear licence plate bolts.

A nice project if you are handy. I made a cardboard (cereal box) template first. I don't have a metal brake (sp?) so I put some angle iron in the vice, clamped the pieces in the angle iron and bent them with a wood block and mallet. This is my second set, I made a set for my 02 EG when I had it. I went to the car store and got the black vinyl edging to trim the pieces with, on this set I just put an extra bend in the filler so it has a cleaner edge near the bag.

Good luck.

I MADE A SET FROM MILD STEEL, I THINK IT WAS AROUND 1/16 THICK. I COPPIED THE DRAG SPECIALIES ONES BUT I MADE THE A LITTLE SHORTER SO YOU CAN SEE THE CROME BAGGER HARDWARE I HAD ON THE BIKE. I PAINTED THEM VIVID BLACK.THEYALSO HOLD MY CB AND FM ANTENNAS. THEY TOOK ME ABOUT 40 HRS, (PART TIME). MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE ENOUGH CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE BAGS ,I WOULD NOT LEAVE LESS THAN 5/16, MAYBE A LITTLE MORE. YOU DONT REALIZE , BUT THE BAGS MOVE ALOT!! IT HAPENED TO ME.
GOOD LUCK,
CB

I went with an internal antenna, but I did cut slots in them for the tour pak rack. I still don't have everything back together, but when I do I will post pictures.

&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; The Street Glide facia looks good on other baggers too and you can order it to match your paint color. I think it was around $169 for everything including the light.
