I need to remove heat shrink wrapping from some handlebar wire extensions. Can heat shrink be removed without damaging the connectors underneath? If so, what's the easiest way to remove it without spending hours trying to do it? Thanks for any advise...

 

a SHARP razor blade, and steady hand. That's the way we do it on the planes. Maybe just try to "Score" it, then get one end open, and rip it? If your worried about getting into the wire.

 

Thanks for the tip.&nbsp\\; It actually seems to be coming off fairly easy once I cut a little notch in one end.&nbsp\\; I can then work the cut down and peel it back till it comes off.&nbsp\\; Thanks again....
