The EG because of the fairing, but the RKC is a much better looking. Now if you get the Ultra then they are equal on the looks side the chrome and black motor is for me.
If we all liked the same thing, it wouldn't be any fun at all. That's why the MOCO has been so successful. They all can be great choices customized to the way we want.
The glide was perfect for me but it sure wasn't the radio that turned my decision. You can just as easily ride a Road King with a small mp3 player in your pocket and some nice headphones if you prefer the ride. Choices are a good thing!!!
Always been partial to the EG family myself...but it sure is nice how many different ways you can personalize a RK. If I were going to buy a second bike, I'd get an Ultra, 3rd bike would be a RK...
I like the fact that you can change the apperance of the Road King Classic in 10 minutes. But thats what makes us different. I'll never question a man on what he rides. The fact that he rides is good enough for me.
If I where to purchase a second bike, it would be a V-rod..........imagine that
The Road King is without a doubt a great bike. Of course everything in the Touring line is based on a Road King to begin with. Same basic bike, just different components than the Road Glide, Ultra, Classic, Street Glide, Electra Glide. The only criticism I have about the Road King Classic is the way the saddlebags hang off the bike. They hang off at an angle in order to open the lids. It just doesn't look right. The RK Custom bags hang properly but operate a bit differently. I like the hidden button. Very cool touch. The RK Standard...why the hell don't they sell it with cruise control? It makes no sense to me at all. Cruise comes standard on the Classis but not the Standard which comes with locking hard bags. Go figure.
