I agree with the alcohol folks although I use the denatured alcohol from Ace hardware. I've used it for years on many cars. I've also used those plastic detail scrapers that look like double edged razors and cold soapy water.

I went to a car show last weekend to.parked in a shaded area,came back out to leave,Bike had bird **** all over it!![:'(]

get some turpentine and try a little on a hidden spot, I don't think it will hurt the paint but I've never tried it on my bike.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;I have used it to get sap off my truck and it did ok but you might want to try it first where it won't show.
I used to use turpentine and water on my car years ago on tar, and never had a problem. I don't think it will hurt the paint, but will definitely strip all wax, so you'll have to re-apply.

try the water , &nbsp\\; it's cheap and probably too easy for most but it'll work without doing anything but running a little water over it.

I second the "Mayonnaise" it washes off easily with basic bike wash soap after it removes the sap or pitch. I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself. Plus it will do no harm to the bike finished.
