Default Cruise Control Options.......

I am looking for an inexpensive option to HD's electronic cruise control for my 07 Glide.
Any suggestions or ideas ?

Thanks

I suggest a 20% HD dealer.&nbsp\\; There are a few aftermarket products out there, but the ones I have seen are more expensive and a PIA to install.&nbsp\\; HD is simple, plug and play.....

Don't bother skimping, get the HD cruise. As stated go to a 20% off dealer and then get it installed. You will be happy you did.

I'm only familar with the Road King but I thought installing the HD cruise kit was easy.
I had all the manuals and just took my time. There is a procedure for "initializing" the
cruise in the manual that isn't mentioned in the installation instructions that comes
in the box with the kit. On my bike the biggest problem I had was getting the
throttle cables moved from the old controls to the new ones. It worked the
first time and is worth it's weight in gold in my mind.
YMMV

How much is a stock cruise control unit? I'm thinking about adding one to my RK.Edit: Nevermind I found it. It's $271.96.

Added the HD CC to my '06 EGC.&nbsp\\; Did not initialize it until a couple months later when I read the initialization procedure here on this forum.
&nbsp\\;
THIS PLACE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
&nbsp\\;
I always had a throttle locking device which is fine for short releases on a level freeway but this CC is so awesome I almost forgot I had it on at times.&nbsp\\; Ops, but no harm done.

If you ride enough in conditions that lead to the question, spending money on anything other than the HD unit will, in time, be a waste of your money IMO.&nbsp\\; Nobody wants to spend $300 if a cheaper, equivalent alternative is availablebut there isn't in this case.
