I have seen a couple of posts that talked about the Mustang lifting you up. But i thought they had a narrower front so that you could get your feet flatter? Does that mean that one offsets the other so that in the end you are no better off? A shortarse wants to know before spending the money!

I actually ordered mine at Americade in Lake George from the Mustang tent (they didn't have any left there).&nbsp\\; The one I tried on my bike must have been thouroughly broken in, plus without actually riding on it I didn't get the full effect.
&nbsp\\;
Anyways, the Mustang person there told me the seat will raise you up anywhere from 1/2 to 5/8 of an inch when I asked him.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;The seat has a narrower front, but for a big guy it's not enough to make it usable.&nbsp\\; Plus, do you really want to go scooting around back &amp\\; forth when you're in traffic just to reach the ground?

Funny I found the&nbsp\\; Solo seat seemed to lower me down.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I am not short legged but I feel I have a more solid touch on the ground. I do not scoot around on it rolling though traffic.
&nbsp\\;
I like mine a lot.&nbsp\\; Just did 3500 miles on it.&nbsp\\; After about 8 hours I wanted out of the seat but then after 8 hours I want out of my car seat.[&:]&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Oh and yes you have to smack that bugger hard to get it to move forward all the way.

I just put mine on my custom the other night, really moved me forward! up a little but mostly forward. Now my hips hurt when I ride, I'm too cramped up. Maybe hiway pegs?

I have Mustangs both on my 00 road king and my 04 Ultra.&nbsp\\; No issues with the RK seat, and with the seat for the 04, I had to bend that tab just a smiggen to get it to go into the slot.&nbsp\\; Once I did that, I had a perfect, tight fit.&nbsp\\; I agree that Mustangs get better the more you ride them, but straight out of the box they are better than the Harley stock seats, hands-down.&nbsp\\; And they do tend to sit you up a little higher than the stock seat, but thats because all the foam isn't collapsing on the Mustang like it does on the harley stock seat.&nbsp\\; Good luck with your choices.

I had the same fitting issues with my 08 Street Glide. I just tried the slamming it forward trick, and added a washer below and above. We'll see how that works on the ride this weekend. I had the issue of the seat moving back that 1/2 inch when I was riding....really ticked me off.
