Default Reduced Reach Road King Bars

Anyone about my size (5'8" - Not the shortest arms in the world....) have these?
I find the regular bars make me reach too far forward.

I have a set of bars thatmay fit a road king that are krome-werks sweeper bars.

The one on the bottom are from a street glide. The Krome-werks ones would work on a road king.

Sorry I should have been clearer...
&nbsp\\;
I have the bike going in on the 30th for new bars. I have the reduced reach bars on hold to put on. Just wondering if anyone has them on and likes them.
&nbsp\\;
STUNU - Did you put the bars on yourself? Did you need new cables? I have read all over this board that guys love the Heritage bars but for some reason I thought you needed to put new cables on.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks, Chuck

Chuck,
&nbsp\\;
Look at the Wild One RK bars, I am 5'7", had them on my 97 RK loved them they were a good pullback from stock and very comfortable for long distance rides.&nbsp\\;Plus while you are changing the bars, run the&nbsp\\;wires inside the bars&nbsp\\;it really cleans up the front end.&nbsp\\; I did change the lines out to Braided at the same time so I don't remember if the stock would have worked.&nbsp\\; You can call Wild&nbsp\\;One and they would tell you.&nbsp\\; Dont' have any pictures handy, but there are a few threads on here showing how they look.

Hi Scott,
I thought about putting them in the bars and/or replacing what I have. This is a birthday gift so I don't have a lot of cash to spend on them (Well they don't and I don't want to feel like I am taking advantage of them), know what I mean? The difference in price is enough that I can't afford to change the existing cables.
&nbsp\\;
It's tough because I won't know if I like them until they are already on the bike - And I am taking a trip in mid July so time is important as well. It takes around 3 weeks to get a bike in the shop up here in Calgary.
&nbsp\\;
I figure the reduced reach have to be better than stock - But I have read that a lot of people love the Heritage bars. I just wasn't sure if all of the cables needed to be changed for them.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks,
&nbsp\\;
Chuck

chuck&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; yes replaced them myself&nbsp\\; very easy it took me about an hour an 15 mins. and no! cable change needed. just make sure u get the headlight bolts with the rubber grommets. sometimes u cant save the old ones and there very cheap. but if u have them you dont have to run back to the dealer .. paid 50.00 bucks for the bars at the dealer to.. good luck!

I put the reduced reach bars on my RK and I love them.&nbsp\\; I am a taller at 6'-0" but I had the same feeling of reaching too far.&nbsp\\; They are the best bang for the buck as far as not having to change the cables.
