I put the cap inside the lid to one side so the lid will not close , so this way I can not loose a cap.
thats how i do it too.

any gas cap will fit.... oh and I always put mine on the seat....

I don't think that just because one dealer is out of gas caps that it's a national crisis.&nbsp\\; Geeeeez.............

Ok so we all are human.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I was used to my road king and seeing the gas cap all the time.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; It was Holiday weekend and I closed my door and left my gas cap.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; One more thing to get used to on an ULtra Classic.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I have only lost one so far.

I did the same thing the day after trading my Heritage on the Ultra. First and last time.

That's the one thing I miss about my last bike. It had a lockable hinged gas cap so I never had to worry about it.

I mean really, after filling up your crouch and legs would be wet and smelling of gas. The fuel would be all over the place.
On EG's the cap is in a recessed area with a drain hose.&nbsp\\; There's little or no chance of leaking on your crotch.
