23 inch front wheel on my streetglide

TEXAS SG, I think that if you leave it dropped it will hit the fender. mine is stock and it was hitting before i installed the fork spacers. a quick way to check before you paint the fender is to grab the front brake and push down. you dont wanna have to paint the fender twice! crash bar shortens space by about 1 1/2 inches. the fork spacers are 3 inches...

I have a 21/18 combo on my bike, lowered the front & rear with Works shocks and a Race Tech kit. I really like the 23" front wheel and was reading some info on "Baggernation" last evening and several other articles all say to make the 23" work right you have to rake the front end by using HHI triple trees or cutting the frame or both. Kinda makes sense to me, I know it looks a lot better.

I have a 23/18 inch set up. No modifications. None needed. U don't need to rake it. U certainly don't need a single disk brake set up. U don't need to lower the bike either, unless ur a short sh.t. Everybody out there that says things like the 23 will give u a hard ride or that its unstable at speed or while cornering either can't ride or is just guessing. I love the ride, and can actually get lower in the curves because the floorboards are now higher. I ride hard and fast the 23 doesn't hold me back. If u like the look and if u can ride, then get the 23.

John at www.SinisterIndustries.com has done a bunch of these bikes with a 23" front and 16" back, his crew says he is more than happy to give pro's and cons on the set up. 21" on mine and it's been on for about 18 months.
I know he's at West world here in AZ for bike week and then Laughlin for there show, I was talking to him about the lowers for 6 x 9 speakers. 21" is more common place where the 23" is still new on the scene.
