Default Info Needed.. Chubby W0513 or W0517 on a 07 Road King Classic

Hello all,

I'm thinking of putting a set of Chubbys W0513 8.5 Mini Apes or a set of W0517 WG bars on my 2007 Road King Classic. I was wondering if anyone out there has done this? What is needed? and what to look out for.

Thanks....Steve

I put 517's on my 08RK See pic. I got by without changing brake or clutch cable although 2 to 4 inch over brake would be better. On the 07 you may need a larger nacelle cover to handle the thicker bars &amp\\; a riser kit. Check with wild one &amp\\; co-ordinate with your mechanic.

I put 513s on my 07 RK standard. They are perfect. Move your hands up about 4 inches and back 2-3 inches. You will need to extend the wires that now go inside the bars. 4 inches is fine, 8 makes life easy. I spent the $50 bucks to buy a wire extension kit that just plugged in and was covered with heat shrink. Saved 14 solder jobs.
