Just wondering if anyone has big city thunder baffles? Are they worth the money and do they change the tone of the mufflers&nbsp\\; thanks

 

Big City is the only way. I hated my Rineharts til I got the BCT'S!!!
Hate was not a strong enough word. Ever since Harley went to EFI the great sound is gone IMO.

We were trying to lower the sound level of our Vance and Hines Long Shots HS mufflers once we added a Voyager Trike conversion kit to our Heritage.&nbsp\\; They were too loud for my wife.&nbsp\\; Vance and Hines suggested big City Thunder, since the V&amp\\;H quiet baffles were already installed&nbsp\\;in the Long Shots.&nbsp\\; We then had Thunder Monster QQ baffles installed in series with the V&amp\\;H&nbsp\\;baffles.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Still too loud for her\\; not much different.&nbsp\\;

Big City definitly makes them go LOUD

 

Wow that sounds mean on those Rineharts. Dunno if it is just a little exaggerated because of video camera sound quality or the echo of the garage. But if that video is anywhere close to real life sound they are worth the money.

 

When i first had my V&amp\\;\\\\\\;H BSS i installed the bigcity baffles,made them very loud with the rumble.Got too loud after awhile so i went to the V&amp\\;\\\\\\;H quiet baffles.Not as loud but with the rumble.Since then i sold the BSS to a coworker and got the rienhart flush for myself.The rienhats are loud with a great rumble.My coworker reinstalled the bigcity's when i sold him the BSS.In comparion my reinharts are as loud as his with the big city but with a better rumble and to add to that being that the bikes are efi's mine with the reinharts has alot more of that "potato potato" sound,which has always been the trademark sound of HD before efi.

 

Depends on what you mean when you say are they worth the money...&nbsp\\; If your looking for the sound to change, no, they are not going to do that.&nbsp\\; Most pipes require you to remove the stock baffles to install these and they have no sound deadning material&nbsp\\;to them.&nbsp\\; If you want louder, they will do that, if you want more back pressure and better low end torque, they do that as well.&nbsp\\; You can run some of these with your stock baffles and the sound is not going to change.
