Default My detachable tour pak security

Don't have much faith in the detachable locks that HD sells so this is what I got to keep my tour pak safe when traveling and the bike is out of site. Nine buck from Wally World.

Yup, isn't beautiful, but, gets the point across.&nbsp\\; As always, keeps mostly good people honest.&nbsp\\; The rest will take it if they want it bad enough.
&nbsp\\;ALSO... if you slip some rubber gas line hose over the shackle it won't beat the chrome up as much.&nbsp\\; Happy Trails...

Yup good idea, was gonna suggest cloth tape, tygon hose, or some such. Cheap good idea, and I'll probably do the same when I get mine.

FLHT: Not a little dust. It is alot. Just got back from 5 days at the PA Rally and riding to work every day this week. Haven't had time for a wash yet.

StrongIslander: Don't really need anything to protect the chrome. I don't ride with it on there. Only for when it is parked. And you are right. It isn't pretty. But it is very obvious to anyone that might lean down to click the detach and run off with the t/p. Right in their face actually.

I just run a coated kryptonite cable through the pak and the rear wheel for a little extra when we are away from home. I have laced wheels making it a little easier.
