I did a search for "cruise control" and nothing came up. I'm planning on doing
the same on my 07 eventually.

Honestyly if you get one of those slip on for the throttle grip it works just as goos...Why spend 300.00 when you can pick one of these things for under 10.00....

I did my 08 SG a few months ago.
&nbsp\\;
The job is fairly simple. Less than an hour.... but you do have to take it to the dealer to activate it. It takes them about 5 min. My STEALER charged me $35.00.

It works great. It does have a max though. It won't engage over 85 mph.
&nbsp\\;
I love it.

Obviously you have never used a real cruise control or you wouldn't say a throttle "clamp" works just as good. Can you set your throttle clamp at 65 mph and climb or decend a hill and stay at 65mph? Does your clamp disengage when you roll off the throttle, apply a brake, or pull the clutch?

honestbob,
&nbsp\\; I have a new kit sitting on my desk.&nbsp\\; You have to replace the right hand switch assembly and add a on/off switch to the ignition.&nbsp\\; The directions seem simple and straight forward.&nbsp\\; You also may need to buy the lower switch housing for the right hand side as most only have one hole for the radio mode and you will need two with the cruise.

&nbsp\\; Everything comes in the kit.&nbsp\\; Make sure you have the correct model nad you need not buy anything else.&nbsp\\; The dealer must activate with the Digital Tech II.&nbsp\\; Simple to install.&nbsp\\; Be sure to complete the cable lash adjustment.&nbsp\\; The bike does it for you, but it won't work if not completed.
