Default Heel shifter removed

Ok has anyone had premature shaft wear after removing there heel shifter?&nbsp\\; No this is not a Vigra joke. Found a company that sells a spacer that "will prevent this". Has any experinced this or heard of it? If&nbsp\\; you have or have not did you buy the spacer or not?

I bought the Kury spacer just because it looks better and it moves the shifter out a bit so that I never miss a gear.

I have always removed the heel shifters & never had a problem. Sounds like a solution without a problem.

I removed my heel shifter because it was in the way and wasn't a natural movement for shifting.&nbsp\\; I bought a cover for the spline, whether that makes it tighter for wear I don't know.

I prefer the freedom I have without the heal shifter.
I do a lot of welding for people so I had some stainless round stock. Made one out of it and polished. Kuryakyn amd HD both have a spacer.

It was my first mod. as well. I bought a shaft cover from Harley to cover the spline end of the exposed shaft.
