I hate to sound REALLY DULL, but how does changing oil grant you that much of mpg improvement? I'm using Syn3 until I run out (bought a case).

When I switched from Dino oil to Sync 3 in my sportster I gained about 4 mpg. I just bought my Road King last week so I haven't changed the oil yet. But I will check to see if there is an improvement after I switch.

hmm, i didn't notice any change in mpg when switching from dino to synth.&nbsp\\; sure you didn't (subconciously) alter your riding style?

I guess anything's possible, but 5mpg just switching oil makes me wonder if the ole accelerator hasn't been tuned down a notch&nbsp\\; And that can be a good thing too sometimes.&nbsp\\; CCRyder

&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\; If I go&nbsp\\;70 to 75 from 85 to 90, I gain a few mpg regardless of the oil.&nbsp\\; Syn or Dino oil alone has never yielded that much of improvement for me.&nbsp\\; Enjoy it!
